What should I do if I meet this unfair lunch-lady?

Everyday at lunch my school's cafeteria is selling bread. I understand that the word 'selling' means that you have to pay money for getting the thing, but apparently this lunch-lady is being unfair about it. Every time I go to get some bread, I always pay. But later on, my friend told me that she got all her bread for free. In fact, to see for myself, I went with her once to see her 'buy' some bread. Certainly, she did get it for free (without even asking), with lunch lady smiling at her as we went away. After I saw this, I thought that the bread was free from now on, since my friend got it for free anyway. So the next time I went to the cafeteria for bread, I tried taking some bread which got stopped by the lunch-lady, who said that I was 'stealing' her food. I went away that time, but the next time my friend wanted to get some bread I went with her again, and once more she got it for free without asking. This is so unfair!!! What should I do?
